Hi, I found the baptism of Samuel Tyler in the Essex Parish Records for Great Maplestead.
The Folio DP83-1-1 Image no 26. Baptised on March the 6th 1796. Was a brother to James son of William Tyler and Elizabeth Bray. James married Harriet hale on 17th March 1831 and  Ephraim married Hepzibah  Pask on 2nd May 1830.  Stephen another brother married Eliza Byford on 6th of May 1823.  Stephen was my ancestor. Also had a sister Rebecca who married Samuel Argent on 18th Nov 1830 and another brothre Abraham who married Elizabeth Jackson on 6th May 1823. I haven't come across a marriage for him as yet.

Thanks Everyone. I know that it is difficult when things are missing. I have tried all the parish records for that time frame from the surrounding village, Little Maplestead, etc and freereg for all of Essex. No other entries for Isaac Tyler or his wife/wives Mary or Prudence. I am hoping that someone womewhere has the original family bible (yeah I know not much hope of that) . Still fairly happy with what I have so far. Have now found that there are female Tyler members who married into the  Argent, Atkins and Hope famlies. Thanks everyone for your replies so far. Good to know that the deductions I have made make sense.

Hi everyone, I have a great deal of research into the parish registers of Great Maplestead. I have come up with a bit of a road block. I have an Issac Tyler wife Mary baptising children Elizabeth 1753, Hannah 1755, Sarah 1758 and  Isaac Tyler wife Prudence baptising children Abraham 1761, John and Hannah 1769 and Mary 1774.  In between these records there is a william born to Tyler in 1759. It seems logical that he was born to Isaac as he named his forst born Isaac, and another Abraham (after his brother?). However his father's name was not included in the register. The main issue is that I can find no entry for a marriage between Isaac and Mary or Prudence or a death for Mary. I have found a death for Prudence. I have tried the surrounding counties from Essex but no entry their either. Does anyone have any ideas.  I probably need someone with an old family bible who has this written down. Not much chance of that though. Any informationj would be gratefully received. Thanks

Hi everyone,  I am still looking everywhere and have managed to get back as far as William Tyler  1759 to 1847 and Elizabeth Bray 1765-1851.  Then trying to find those who come before. Possibles:  Isaac Tyler and Mary Tyler,  John and Hannah Tyler . Can't seem to make any headway in tying any of them together.  If anyone has any ideas.  HELP!

Thanks for all your help.  This is looking very interesting.  Our family is made up from Tylers, Jones' and Edwards.  All very common surnames.  Still I am getting there.  Thanks once again.  Will need time to analyse all this as am away at the moment.  Lorraine

Hi, I am interested in any information on the tyler family.  I know hundreds of them. Stephen tyler married to eliza in 1841 census.  Looking for ancestors of them and maiden name.  Has children: Ann of annie, John, Hannah, Charles and Arthur.
