The Common Room / Re: York church seeks relatives of Lt Robert Harpley
« on: Wednesday 22 May 24 16:00 BST (UK)  »
Robert's mother's siblings don't appear to have left any descendants:

Harriet Avery Clarke, youngest daughter married in 1893 to Reverend Frederick Richard Augustus Harpley. They don't appear to have had any children. Frederick died in 1918. Harriet subsequently remarried in 1919 to a Charles G Adams.

Ellen Allen Clarke appears to have never married.

Then there is a brother: John Oswald Allen Clarke born 1870, died in 1906 Victoria, Australia. He married Maud Augustus Hay Seagrove in 1892 Victoria, Australia. There was a daughter born to this marriage Violet Sybil Maud Allen Clarke but she dies in 1921 in West Sussex age 27, spinster.

Have to look further afield for any descendents.

Haven't found who the Mary Anne Jones mentioned in Harriet's will yet.

If I could read Welsh there is a newspaper report dated 16th May 1942 where it looks like Llewelyn's wife was Elizabeth Sarah, it looks to be a death announcement for another son called Llewelyn.
