So much data to pursue. Yes I probably need more in- depth search although names King , Earl St , smithing are major clues.
I thought that there may have been Shipright/smith or Blacksmith guilds or unions with member list 1800-1900. I also speculated that they may have worked in Belfast shipyards, maybe during era of Titanic, pre and post.

Thank-you.
I have some information about Evangelinos Caravias. Cannot source information though.
Supposedly died "about 1900 going down with his ship "Ithaca" in English Channel".
Transcription errrors again:
Ass Evangelo Caravais; Nicholas Caravias, Caraveas and then as Cameron.
Appreciate your help.

Thank you for improved tree. Much appreciated.
I have Nicholas birth record, born 1896 to E Mageean and E Caravvias. E C died abt 1900. Nicholas's name had been changed to Cameron, transcription error or misunderstood?
NC and E are in the 1901 Census as Nicholis and Emely Caravias, along with her mother Mary Jane Savage ( new marriage) at Dock Ward.
Will investigate other possibilities.
Thanks again

I sent request to moderator to move my post to Antrim board.
Yes, this is my King ancestor. I do have census and records of GF, 2nd GGF and mostly none of JK. 1834-6.
Thanks for link to BHC. I will post there too.

Topic moved.

Antrim / Kings of Belfast before 1834-36

My GF James Alexander King was born 1900 Belfast to James Alexander King, born 1869 Belfast, and Emily Ellen Mageean, born 1874 Downpatrick, Co. Down.  I have birth and census records.
His father James King was born 1834-36, married Mary Anne Douglas, death 1911 Belfast. JAK and JK in Ireland census  with their occupations as carpenter, shipwrights/smith and other family members listed.
I have not been able to find birth or any records for my 2nd GGF James King.
Also my GF JAK, along with his half-brother Nicholas Cameron, were sent as Home Children to Canada in 1911.
Any help much appreciated.
