Hi occording to family members my gg grandfather Patrick coyne born 1857 died 1903 who lived in Tooreen Ireland. Was found dead tied to his horse in 1903/1904.

Unfortunately  I have not been able to find any documents to support this. Story has it he was murdered and his horse made its way back home. I have only been able to find some petty court records for his wife Margaret and sons Patrick and MIcheal concerning their neighbour's the lyden family due to feuds in Toreen in 1913 but nothing regarding the incident or death of Patrick Coyne.  Any help would be gratefully recieved.

London and Middlesex / Re: missing family in 1939 census

Online trees have him as Leonard Arthur Spencer, born on 18th November 1921.

Mother's surname was Seaman, as in the GRO. She is wih Arthur J in 1921

The Arthur J Spencer in Ealing, in 1939, matches the birth date in the trees.

He married again to Kate Borrowman, who is with him on the register.

Winifred married again to Ernest W Fleming, and they are together in 1939.

No sign of Leonard Arthur, so probably in the services, as K Garrard mentioned.

David

Thank you that would make sense it seems he did serve in the army. I wasnt aware that winifred also remarried. So i will look into that further.
