Tracing the Stote family of Horsley Hill, Jarrow Mary was the daughter of Robert Stote 1713-1796. She married John Crofton on 8 June 1778 at St Hilda, South Shields. Presume that she married for a second time to a Fox. Cliff

Thank you Kim, There was a core of Bulls in Boldre and although I cannot find Charlotte in the records this suggests that she did come from Boldre before marrying William. Also seems William came from Beaulieu before moving to Stanswood, Fawley.

Hello you Bull relatives. A long shot but I wonder if anyone can help me get further. I have a definite record of a marriage at Beaulieu of William Wheeler and Charlotte Bull but cannot trace either back further. Help please.

Durham / Re: WILKINSON shipowner of Whitburn

Thank you Trish this is worth looking into in detail. The Crawfords were a weathy family from Seaton Delaval with some members coming to South Shields. One problem I can see is that most of the Wilkinson family have christian names which flow through, but no Susannah or similar. No help in local newspaper searches either. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have the basic info and hoping to get to the info on William's father Thomas elder. All I know is his death and will but not about his birth, marriage etc. Thank you.

Hello I have only just joined this site and the post you made was back in 2009 20 July... so just hoping you are still actively researching. Post 8 Durham lookup deals with the Wilkinson family of Whitburn. My wife decends from William Wilkinson d 1802 Whitburn and we have been lucky to trace a full tree back to him and his father  Thomas elder. You say in your post that you have some scans of the register. We would love to be able to add these to our records. Hope you will reply.
