Although the birth county has changed, carrick on suir is half in Tipperary and half in Waterford, so still possible. But I'm missing the link to David and Julia, what makes you think these are her parents?

Yes , sorry Sinann, caught up with general stuff and haven't been on here for a bit but I didn't think of that (I  was going off the text copy from the website) .
Now of course my siblings are expecting a quill drawn family tree on parchment! And thanks to you for your diligence, I do intend digging as far back as I can. Hammond informs me there's a record of James and Patrick living with their Grandfather that I hope to follow up, which will open a whole new thread .
How about yourself?, are you from Carrick on Suir?

Then I guess we are distant cousins then Sarah. I'm Richie, my father was Patrick and there's my uncles Frank and Richie the only ones left of my dad's siblings.
You've got a ton of Osheas in  Battersea, Sidcup , andy a few in south London. Cousins ,Flemings , still in Carrick and  various in Canada.
I've got 2 brothers and sisters.

Are you over Camden way? It would be good to hear from you all and please give our regards to your mum from all the O'shea's from Garrigan's side . Thanks for messaging

Hello Hammond,

Yes, thanks to a really helpful person on here i managed to trace back to Ellen Shea, I did end up going to far and finding an Ellen Shea with two sons, James and Patrick  , remarried to a James Fitzgerald but James Shea 's age didn't match up.
Sadly my father passed last year but my mum knows quite a bit about your grt Grandfather and Grandfather from what my dad has told her over the years.
I have an uncle Francis still alive and my mother is going to find out more when she sees him soon and also a cousin born in Carrick on Suir who may know quite a bit.
What's your name?
My mum thinks Michael had two daughters and she remembers a Billy, Paddy and Juju? But not sure if they are Michael's sons. How does that sound?

Hmm, I just looked into that and I may have gone off target. James Shea born 1891 making him too old to be the same step son. , I might rewind a bit.

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Tipperary/Carrick_On_Suir/Church_Street/1694051/

This looks like the same Mr Fitzgerald 10 years earlier, the Fitzgerald kids ages roughly add up and James was a widower.

I may just be clutching at straws but it all seems to fit. The fact she isnt a widow may be a show stopper. I'm new at this and can't thank you enough for your help.

I think I found my Grandfather on the census, a boy Patrick Shea named as step son to the fitzgeralds of 1 Kerwans Lane, Carrick on Suir. He did have a brother James which leads me to believe his mother re-married.
