thank you everyone for their replies.thank you Forfarin for the warning I have read the post, we were beginning to think George juniors parents didn't get married as we cannot find any record of the marriage, but his name was George Sinclair Hall so maybe the marriage took place later or he was just given his fathers nme. although his sister Barbara was born first and she was Barbara Hall.
yes George junior did die in Manchester and he did marry Alice Whaite and they had a son John.
we do not know  George seniors occupation for sure but think he could have been a collier and we do not know when he died. thanks again for all the replies.

Hi, I have been helped on here researching my family and wondered if anyone could help again, I am looking for a George Sinclair Hall who lived in Manchester but we discovered he was actually born in Scotland. about 1885-86.
we have a birth registration for his sister Barbara born 1st April 1884linlithgow dalmeny  we assume George was born in the same place their parents were George  Hall and Elizabeth Sinclair married in November not sure if 1883 or 84. her mother was called Margaret could have been Gunn.
we have looked on ancestry .co that's where we got most of our info also on scotlands people as someone kindly looked on there for us, we have since registered with Scotlands people but haven't yet found anything that matches and  it could cost a lot of money to go through them all.its a long shot I know but hopefully someone more experienced than me could find something however small we would be very thank full.

I am pleased this issue has been raised thanks, as I have found quite a few errors in my ancestry, names birth dates  ages in censuses etc.
I have not informed ancestry , but if I know the information is  one hundred percent incorrect and some one else as the same person in their tree . I will contact them .and   mention it,
a couple of members have checked again and put the correction in their tree.
it can be confusing to have incorrect information, we found some one with my grandmothers name and birth place but the age on  her birth certificate  and her marriage certificate did not match,
seems she lied to make herself appear younger when she married so It is alwys worth checking.

thanks again that is useful, you have cleared one mystery up for me already, I have saw mary annes marriage  certificate and it does list her age as full she was my grandfather Williams mother, and on a cencus it lists her age as 30 and his as 15 making her 15 when she gave birth to him, she must have lied on her marriage certificate so thanks for that,

Hi, Aghadowey, and thanks again for taking the time and trouble to look into this for me.
on her marriage  record to my granddad David Brown the marriage took place in the Presbyterian church in the parish of Templemoor co Derry.

that makes sense about the birth records as I had trouble finding others, as for that Jane Logue being the right one I am not sure as it seems to be a very common name in Ireland
I noticed her father on that certificate was a Thomas Logue and it maybe a coincidence but that name was listed as a boarder on I think my grandparents census form.
thanks again for all of your help.
