Thank you so much Aghadowey.  I didn't even know how to spell it! This probably explains why all of our family are singers. Rosemary x

Antrim / Presbyterian church history

I was told that my grandfather was a preseptor(?) in a Presbyterian church which didn’t have an organ. I believe he gave the congregation the note to start singing psalms. Anyone know about this? Rosemary

Hello everybody. I am going to give up on James Armstrong Blakely as he was only of passing interest. All Sarah Jane’s record has been discussed in full on the Belfast Forum, so thanks to all of you for your time. Rosemary

Haywood, Sarah Jane’s parents were named as Thomas Rafe and Sarah. I later found that Thomas Rafe was a recruiting officer in the 27th. Regiment of Foot stationed in Clones. When she married she gave her fathers name as William, a soldier, but she was only 16 and probably didn’t know his Christian name.

Aghadowey, I don’t think so, as I found his baptism in C of I Clones. It said born in 1847 and baptised in 1856. I will see if I can get along any further in Clones. Thanks again. We keep meeting online! Rosemary

I came across this name in C of I baptisms in Clones. He might be related to Sarah Jane born  in 1856 in Clones. Anyone got any information? Rosemary

I was once told that Charlotte married a John? Hyde, who died young and left Charlotte with a son named John, but don’t have the proof. Family search, before they changed their website named all William McCollell and Charlotte Mussen’s children , some of them being Sarah,William, Margaret and  Blaney.
