Galway / Re: JOHN HARFORD/GALWAY?1821

Unfortunately I have got no further in my search for John - but I do now have the marriage certificate for him and Ann CLARKE. Daughter Honora is still a complete mystery too - I have her marriage and death certificates but can't trace her birth anywhere.  I think I shall have to give up work and concentrate on this full time!!
Best wishes to all for the new year  :)

Essex Completed Lookup Requests / 1861 census look up please, colchester
« on: Thursday 11 November 04 16:37 GMT (UK)  »
Could some kind soul do me a 1861 lookup for John Harford and his wife Ann. I suggest Colchester as they were married there in 1853.  Also with them should be their son John, daughter Honora and son Felix. If anyone could find John Harford in 1851 as well that would be brilliant!
Many thanks in advance

Hampshire & IOW Lookup Requests / 1851 lookup
« on: Thursday 28 October 04 00:31 BST (UK)  »
I know it's a long shot but can any kind person do a lookup for Hampshire/Isle of Wight for 1851 for me please?

I am looking for John Harford and his wife Ann, their children John, Honora and Mary.
In 1871 they were in Newport but they moved around a lot. It's possible they were in Essex/Kent/Sussex too particularly as John and Ann were married in Colchester and then had son John in Brighton!!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Can anyone give me any information on hospital records from France or Army records for the Royal Sussex Rgt please.
My GG Grandfather was with the 13th Btn Royal Sussex Regiment and 'died of wounds' in St Omer on 14th July 1916 having been injured on 30th June.  I have his death certificate with his Army number and have located his grave in St Omer but wonder if medical records are kept for soldiers wounded abroad, and if so where.
Also, I know a lot of the Royal Sussex records have been destroyed but can anyone direct me where to start to try and track down my GG Grandfathers Army records if they still exist.

Many thanks as always to all you helpful souls,

Sarah was definitely one of Anthony's daughters - and I am sure she married a GOODSELL.

Would this mean she was the mother of the boys do you think?

But why aren't they all listed together?

Because the Transcription is in Alphabetical Order - Chris

You really a gem to give me so much help.

My earlier information confirms the listing you gave me for 1851.
I wonder if Anthony snr was living with his daughter Elizabeth and her husband Thomas FUNNELL and that the sons were in fact his grandsons?
It's very peculiar.  Anthony snr was widowed for abt 40 years and never renmarried according to the info I have from the census, so I doubt that the children were Anthony's.
The only other tenuous link may be with the name ELDRIDGE, as Anthony snrs wife was Eleanor Eldridge.
