Hi Mo,

Thanks for the welcome to the site - what a result for me.

Your reply is fantastic.  I did not give Jane Pearson's maiden name Rawson, although it  was the surname I had arrived at via other means it was still to be proven, hence my request for their marriage details. It does tie in especially the marriage date - I never thought they could have been married in St Chad's especially with Jane and first child Ann c 1832/33 born in Halifax.
2nd child Mary was c1836 in Todmorden.  It fits that Ann could be illegitimate of Jane.

Again many thanks for your help Mo.

Hello there, this is a first posting from me.

I have a Robert Pearson b. about 1808 Halifax marriage to a Mrs Jane Pearson from  the IGI.

The date for Robert's birth 1808 is correct from his death certificate in 1872 aged 64 but he was from North Yorks and in census info from Leyburn between 1841-1871 living in Todmorden&Walsden.

I wonder if there is someone who has access to Halifax registers that may be able to expand on this scant info.
