Thank you everyone for the quick responses. I will open with an explanation of the connections that I have made. Perhaps this will answer many of the questions.
I have been tracing my father in law's Baillie tree. My experience with birthdates, names, etc. in records is that they can vary from the actual information.
I made the connection from Adelaide Baillie in Cambridge to Adelaide Bryant in Stratford in 1881 through this thread
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=832689.msg7086081#msg7086081.
The 1887 death registration that I have lists the informant as her son Harry E. Baillie and his address, 22 Cornwall Terrace, Stewart Road, Wanstead, matched his address in the 1891 census where his name became Henry Edward. The death record described (Jane) Adelaide, age 46, as the widow of 'Gentleman' William John Bryant.
The 1881 census has Adelaide Bryant, wife, age 40, born in Middlesex living at 107 Romford Road with her son Harry Bryant, age 19, born in Cambridge. I have Harry Edward Lewis' 29 Nov 1863 baptism record from Cambridge which lists his mother as single woman Adelaide Baillie. Harry was born in 17 Oct 1861 in Cambridge according to his birth registration.
I have the same 1861 and 1871 census information. I have Adelaide's birth registration which has her born Crabtree, Fulham, Middlesex, 30 August 1838 with father William Baillie and mother Margaret nee Lewis. Adelaide's age in the 1871 census was much younger, but I think that that was her given the listed birthplace. Rosebank was near Crabtree Lane in Fulham. Harry appeared separate from Adelaide in the 1871 census, recorded in Newton, Cambridgeshire. RG10/1583/81 p 6

I am trying to find evidence of Adelaide’s marriage to William John Bryant.
