This Peter Dunne / Mary Morgan marriage in Dundalk of 16 March 1920 states Bernard as her father.

But there's also a John Donnelly / Anna Maria Morgan marriage in Dundalk with a Bernard Morgan as her father here (24 August 1921)

Re the death certificate - I think they're only as accurate as the informant so they could well misremember. But I'm also trying to work out this family and there are *a lot* of Henrys and Bernards and Marys so it takes a lot to keep track of who married/parented who.

Edit: I'm looking into the family of Julia Morgan, who was a sister of your Bernard. I'm trying to find out about all of her siblings so if you want to get in touch or share any information, that'd be great.

Thank you. I'm positive, looking at the DNA matches, the Anne Mary who passed away in the US is the right one.  It must be there were two Bernards who were seaman, and the one buried at Dowdallshill Saint Patrick Cemetery isn't the right one. I'm going to message you what I have, but I'm not sure whether the information I have is correct.

I hope this makes sense. I have the following information for Anne (Maria Anne) Morgan:

Birth: 26 FEB 1896 • North Marsh, Dundalk, Louth. Parents: Bernard Morgan and Catherine Mills.

Census: 31 Mar 1901 • Mary Street, Dundalk Urban No. 4., Louth.

Marriage: 16 MAR 1920 • St. Patrick's Church, Dundalk, Louth. Husband: Peter G Dunne. Father: Bernard Morgan.

Shipping Manifest: 31 AUG 1921 • Mary Dunne, 9 St. Mary's Terrace, Dundalk. Departure from Liverpool to Philadelphia.

I just got her death record, and her parents are listed as Henry Morgan and Mary. I'm positive it's the same person, as I've all the above paperwork plus documents for her three children, she died after giving birth her fourth. Also, I've found a marriage record for Peter Dunne, Widower, from Dundalk, same age and US address, in 1928.

Bernard's father was called Henry and his wife was called Mary. Also, Bernard had a brother called Henry, b. C 1867, who married with a Mary. I wonder whether Peter made a mistake when he filled in her death records?  I'm almost certain I got the right Anne, but would appreciate a second pair of eyes. ???

I want to add that someone on a different post kindly pointed that there's a grave for a Bernard Morgan that well possible could be him. However, there's a mention of a daughter called Anne Donnelly who passed in 1969, while Anne (Dunne) died in 1926. https://billiongraves.com/grave/Henry-Morgan/10861260

As a possibility to consider, note that a couple called Henry Morgan and Mary Mathews got married in Togher RC parish on 21 April 1854...

Just assuming for now that the above are the right folk (until ruled out), I noticed another son - slotting in between Julia and James - Henry born in 1867 at Dillonstown:

Thank you. There's a Henry Morgan mentioned on the headstone erected by B. Morgan.

Thank you all. All the information is much appreciated.

Apologies I haven't replied earlier, but I'm still checking all the links you kindly provided. We really appreciate everyone's help as we were completely lost as there were no more records for Dundalk on Ancestry.

Hello,
I'm looking for the birth / baptism records of Bernard Morgan and Catherine Mills. I have the following information:
Bernard Morgan, Sea Captain, born C. 1865 in Dundalk. Father: Henry Morgan.
Catherine Mills, b. C. 1860. Father: James Morgan.
I have their marriage record, but haven't been able to decipher Catherine's place of birth/residency, and Henry and James' occupation. I've attached a copy.
