Thank you so much

Canada / William Frederick James BELCHER and Toronto

My great uncle William Frederick James BELCHER (b 1881)emigrated from England to Canada around 1910.

He settled in Toronto, later marrying a Rose Elizabeth CALVER in 1914, who was also an emigrant from England.

He then served with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in WW1.

After which, I believe he then worked for the (or a ) Toronto Tramcar company.
[ I have a photo showing him with colleagues alongside a tramcar ].

I am able to find him on the 1921 census with Rose and one child, but beyond that, I am none the wiser.
Might someone be able to direct me what / where records post 1921 might be, if available ?

Or maybe some other is also researching the same family and may wish to contact ?

My thanks in advance.

update : details from wedding cert.

William BATCHELOR (also found spelt as BACHELOR ) son of William BACHELOR : Farmer

Charlotte BELCHER daughter of William BELCHER : Shoemaker.
------------------------------------

As best I can trace, it looks like William BATCHELOR was born around 1827 : I believe him to be son of William BACHELOR and Mary TOLLY, though as yet no baptism found to support. (see below)

I have found him recorded 1841 census as William BATCHELOR born in county. Then later, as William HASTINGS, a Baker, in the 1851 census, living with his widowed mother and some siblings in Hemel Hempstead.
------------------------------------
Whereas Charlotte BELCHER was daughter of William BELCHER and Harriet COOK, baptised 1829 in Hemel Hempstead.

She is found 1841 census born in county, living with with her parents and later in 1851, still with parents and shown as a plaiter (straw probably).
---------------------------
Other researchers have shown that Mary TOLLY had first been married to a Richard HASTINGS and was then a widow, at the time of her marriage to William BATCHELOR in November 1828 in Chelsea, London.

Which might suggest the HASTINGS surname in the 1851 census, but clearly was not reflected in the 1851 Marriage Banns or 1852 Marriage Registration.

Hertfordshire / William BATCHELOR and Charlotte BELCHER

William BATCHELOR and Charlotte BELCHER are shown as having married in Hemel Hempstead in January 1852 and post that date appear untraceable. They are not found in Hertfordshire or London, nor in locations their family are found.

Whilst a William and Charlotte BATCHELOR are recorded as having lived in the area for numerous years, unfortunately it is not that family I am tracing. This particular Charlotte was prior to marriage a RICKETT(s).

I have not found any indication that they may have emigrated nor relevant death records : To me they appear lost, so if any other researchers are able to indicate a trace that would be most appreciated.

My thanks in advance.

Enquiring might somebody to be able to assist with information reference this Baptism :

Richard COOKE  baptised 3rd March 1632 Eaton Bray, Beds.

No fathers name is mentioned, but his mother is named as Elyzabeth COOKE (spelling as recorded).

Both FindMyPast and Family Search record the same information.

I have an idea, that maybe, Elyzabeth was more than likely a single woman (by status).
Which is what I would like to confirm.

If anyone might have access to / sight of the original documents or transcriptions, that may show any additional information, that would help to clarify.

My thanks in advance, info would be most appreciated.
