Hi Richard, yes I am Pat Moss’s daughter - who I think you met a while ago in Ledbury at John’s house. We are decedents of James (your grandfathers brother).

Love to see your family tree, and we’d all love to solve the mystery or even just find out a little bit more!

For anyone on this thread my email address is merredylj@hotmail.com. I agree this website is truly awful - But will keep an eye on it for anything new!

Best Lucy

Hello - I had an email notification showing your message on here. I’m afraid we have not discovered anything further. It’s amazing that we decedents are all trying to solve this mystery after the family were separated over 100 years ago… my mother Pat has probably been in touch with you/your family trying to piece it together too. We even went to Canada several years ago and stood on the plot of land they farmed and looked through archives for hours. Would dearly love to find out anything more about Thomas or Martha. Lucy

Hi all - just spotted this tread. I’m also trying to find out what happened to Thomas Moss. (He would be my great great grandfather, his son James my great grandfather).
The last evidence we have is the document transferring ownership of the land he farmed in Lloydminster to him in 1908. Possible he was alive then although the application for the land was made in 1906 and the final stamp given in 1908.
Any updates / thoughts on what could have happened would be fantastic.
You probably know Martha is buried at Middleton on the Hill, a memorial bench has recently been placed there for Philip James Moss, James’ eldest son who was also born there.
