We have tried that but they have said they do not have record of this particular birth so hitting a bit of a dead end…

Any advice welcome. Happy to provide specifics as person in question is unfortunately deceased.

Leicestershire / Birstall Birth Records 1946

Hi all

Apologies if this has been covered i did search but couldn’t find anything.

Trying to trace Birstall Birth records for 1946. The Leicester Council Records Office website states they do not have records from 01/07/1837-01/10/1949 (or rather they have before and after if you follow my logic).

Does anyone know where/if these records can be accessed or why they are not available at the main RO?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! Was working on it and waiting on moderator approval for some, but this should push me over the threshold

Thanks for the speedy reply Keith, I will PM as soon as I can, just need to get the required 3 posts on the site to be able to do so. It looks from my own research like you managed to uncover some Dutch connections as well

Hi all

Is this still something you’re wanting? I am a direct Y-Line Barron and already have my dna I could support with uploading?

Hopefully so, I’ve hit a couple of brick walls in different directions of my tree and after stumbling across this site last night I’ve seen some members asking the same questions and finding bits already. So I’m very hopeful

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread but I’ve been struggling on this particular person and issue for about a year and stumbled on this thread last night. Hoping KeithSherwood or someone else could help illuminate me and add to my tree/knowledge as a direct descendant of Cornwall
