Yes, Lauritz had two siblings named Henriette — they both died when they were young (1854 to some time before 1856, and 1856-1874).

Hi again TuTuTulip.
I have just realised that our paths have crossed before with this family that emigrated to Australia.
Let's hope we can help you again.

Ian

Hello Ian! So nice to meet you on here again.  :) Thanks so much for all your research last time — it really helped put all those puzzle pieces together. I am hoping this latest quest will help me put together a more extensive tree so I can match up some distant DNA connections. In doing so, I hope to confirm the hypothesis that my 2x great-grandfather is the same person who emigrated to Australia (and somehow ended up in New Zealand)! It's proving to be a tough one though since I know nothing about my 2x great-grandfather's paternal side of the family. I am beginning to suspect that Johan Frobøs (junior) didn't have any siblings, so I might be back to square one with my research (I haven't been successful in finding DNA connections through Johan's other daughter, Alvilda).

Here´s his birth cert.

Seems like they were on their way from Wentorf, near Hamburg, to maybe somehere further north.
They were forced to stop in Lütjenberg so she could deliver her child.

So i think they lived somewhere in the vicinity of Copenhagen.
That meaning searching danish records to find other siblings of Johann junior.

Great find — thanks, Dave — I appreciate it! I am more familiar with Danish records, so I will keep searching through those to see if Johann sr and Katharina had any further children. :)

Thanks for translating the document found at the link I gave, Dave.

I don't have a lot of information regarding Johan Heinrich Vilhelm Frobøs' parents — only some names written on a piece of paper that was most likely written by my great-grandfather.

The only document I have is the link posted in my original message and a Danish record of the two children he had with my 4th great grandmother, Juliane Marie Terkelsen (who he appears to have not married).

I am looking for confirmation of Johan's parents (whether they are the people I named in my original post), and  if Johan (junior) had any siblings. However, I am not doing very well at researching German records.

your link to family search does´nt work

Sorry about that. I have adjusted where the URL link starts and ends on my original post. The #62 refers to where Johan Frobøs can be found on the parish register page.

I am hoping to get some help with some German research. My 4th great grandfather was Johan Heinrich Vilhelm Frobøs (also recorded as Frohböse)

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QG3T-YLRL #62

It appears he was born in Lütjenburg, Holstein around 1800 and married Anna Dorothea Petersen in Copenhagen, Denmark (I am a descendant of a later relationship he had with Juliane Marie Terkelsen). I believe Johan’s parents were Johann Heinrich Frobös and Catharina Sophia Jansen. I would really like to know if Johan (junior) had any siblings but I am having trouble researching German records.

If anyone is able to help me out, I would be hugely appreciative! Many thanks.  :)

I am unsure re the information about William.
The father of Robert, in the marriage is a Grocer.

The father of Charlotte is a coach builder.

Hmmm ... thanks ... I will look a bit more into that one. Thank you also for the link to the immigration record — perhaps there is a link between Charlotte and William John Graham.
