Thank you for all responses. My search for a copy of the Special Licence was to simply know the reason for the for its provision for this couple. However, I am very grateful for the link to the marriage record.

I am trying to obtain a copy of a "Special" Marriage License, issued in 1885 for John Lesley Perrot and Mary Haughton. Does anyone know if this is possible? Mary is from Ballyhooley.
