Anne (nee ?) DONOHUE of Coolfin, Abbey, Loughrea Co. Galway. She died in 1868 aged 72. Witnessed by Thomas Donohue (born 1832; died 1882).

I believe her husband was John Donohue, citied in Tithe Records 1854 in Coolfin, plot no. 6

1. We cannot get any further back in time due to lack of records
2. we would like to know her maiden name
3. We would like to find details for John Donohue (born, wed, died)
4. We would like to find details of their children

Family History Beginners Board / Question re Griffith's Maps
« on: Tuesday 09 April 24 14:03 BST (UK)  »
We are researching our family history and we have found our ancestral home on Griffith's maps.

The number "1750" is marked within out plot and the map dates back to Anglo-norman times, so we know it isn't a date.

The plot is "Coolfin Castle" - 1/2 km south of Abbey Village in South East Galway.

Anyone know what the number represents?

We are so grateful for this information. We have been searching for 5 years +. We have only recently become aware of RootsChat. Thank you so, so much for your time and effort. So very kind of you.

I have located archive papers for the Irish Independent, but the one date that is missing is Jan 01 1963! Archives show Dec 31st 1962, then begins Jan 02 1963 (this is via Independent.ie).

I have also just found their Burial Registration documents (thanks to your priceless information) via Galway Council Graveyard Search Database.

The other information you have provided is also great, thanks again.
