I should explain that I have the Fury family on my tree, very distant in relation. I also have 19 Henry Beaney's with various spellings of the surname. Some I can discount by reason of year of birth, but I can't narrow down any further.

As it is only a picture in a book with a name and no mention of him in the written text of the book. I am hoping that a family member or someone with a knowledge of the family might be able to identify him and provide further details for him.

I have looked at the census records and the free BMD Index.

He has a brother called Henry born 1878 Tenterden, Kent, England, but I cannot say if the Henry Beenie pictured in the book is him or not.

That's why I want to find out if anyone who knows the birth date and location of birth for the Henry Beenie in the book.

Travelling People / John Fury's book - Photo of Henry Beenie

Hi

I am trying to find out information on a possible family member, but all I have is a photo and a name in John Fury's book, When the Fury Takes Over. (father of Tyson Fury, boxer)

There is a picture on the last page of the first batch of photos showing John Fury, his parents and a Henry Beenie, described as his uncle.

The resemblance to my grandfather is uncanny, they might be brother's or cousins.

Hoping someone can help me identify this Henry Beenie

Thank you

Tony Magee

Hi Sandra.

Thank you for your messages

Goldie, Ollie, Sullivan and Clyde are great finds, they are Myrtle's siblings. You are amazing.

It is possible that Myrtle passed away between 1959-1962.

I have received a message re a Myrtle Cooper buried in Arkansas

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/91823847/myrtle-cooper

That is the same cemetery as Meshie's parents are buried, so am looking into that. Meshie isn't shown as being buried there. Hopefully it is her.

Many thanks for the two posts re censu.

We had found them, but unfortunately both Meshie and Myrtle seem to have disappeared after that.

Regards

Tony
