I found a reference to a John McArthur army pensioner 29th Regiment on an old death certificate from 1905.

I suspect the Army service probably took place more than 40 years before that. Any help finding service information would be great. Thanks

I looked at the marriage in 1789 for John and Agnes on Scotlandspeople. John was a soldier in the 55th Regiment. Need to think about where any record of joining etc might be.

Also looked at birth for son John in 1796. Just names and dates. Then credits expired :) :)
