Is this Anne’s marriage? Christopher Downey and Anne Darcy, 1894
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1894/10571/5851063.pdf
The address is Belmont Avenue.

There is a death - same address for Sarah Darcy , 1871.

I think Sarah might be John's step mother

Hello yes it was,
I'm trying to find the parish where my G grandfather on my mothers side was born.
I've sent emails to a few of the nearby parishes and am waiting to hear back from them

The Common Room / John D'Arcy- Dublin 1811
« on: Saturday 25 May 24 15:30 BST (UK)  »
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help me research my GGGG Grandfather John D'Arcy. All I know about his birth is that he was born around 1811 in Dublin. I think his father might be James D'Arcy but I have nothing to prove it. On ancestry I was looking and everybody has John's mother as Sarah Doyle but she married a James's D'Arcy 40 years after John was born so I do not think she's his mother.
John married Anne Keegan on the 16th of July 1849 in St Andrews, Dublin. They had 5 children together John, Patrick, Thomas, Peter (My GGG Grandfather) and Anne.
John died on the 9th of January 1889 in Dublin.
I was looking to see if anyone could help me find John's parents.
All of John's children on the 1901 census lived in Donnybrook, Dublin.

Howcome in the 1901 census it says John Galvin is from tipperary and Bridget Whelan is from Waterford while in the 1911 census it says there both from Cork?

The second place name looks as if starts with Knock....
Looking at a map there are a few places starting with that near Hacketstown. Knocknashamrogue/Knocknaskeagh/Knockananna plus others.
Is knockshinough a place or is there anything similar?

For the residence part the first one is Hacketstown but I cannot tell what the second one is, it is probably a town in Carlow or Wicklow.

Carlow / Re: Bertie Byrne - Hacketstown

I think it is reasonably clear that the birth wasn't registered.

That being so, OP should look to the parish registers in Hacketstown, and failing that, maybe Baltinglass, where the workhouse was located. Similar advice already given, but at this point it really is the obvious next step.
Hacketstown Parish have finally gotten back to me, there is no record of a Bertram (Bertie) Byrne being born in the Hacketstown Parish between the years 1890 to 1904

Hello,
My great grandfather was called Bertram (Bertie) Byrne, he was born abt 1901 in presumably Hacketstown, Carlow, Ireland. He married my great grandmother Elizabeth Byrne in 1930 in Hacketstown, Carlow, Ireland. They had 9 children, Elizabeth died in 1946.
I have made a post about this before but I am still completely lost.
There is no birth record, no baptism record, no name of father on marriage certificate, I've asked my grandfather and he doesn't know Bertie Byrne's parents. I have 1901 as his year of birth because he died in 1987 at age 86.
He appears in the 1911 census but he is living with his grandmother.
