The Common Room / Borstal Records

Hi, Hoping the brains trust here can assist me please. I have just found a newspaper article from 1940 mentioning a relative of mine:
'SNEAKING AND ENTERING. Two Belfast youths, Colligan Street, Belfast pleaded guilty to breaking and entering a shop at Hillsborough on  June 14 and stealing cigarettes and goods value £6, and not guilty to breaking and entering the residence of Dr. Wm. Caldwell. Aghadavey, on June 12 and assaulting Dr. Caldwell. Accused were placed on trial on the fatter charge. Mr. Wm. Beattie, K.C. (instructed by Mr. W. A. F. Martin, Crown Solicitor) prosecuted and accused defended themselves. Accused were each sentenced to three years in Borstal.'

Could someone please advise how i would find the Borstal record or more details from the trial?

Hi, I believe I am tracing the same family. I'm looking for details of James O'Donnell and Mary McClean. Mary's father is Edward McClean and James' was Michael O'Donnell.

I have little to no information but am desperately trying to quickly find what I can.
I am travelling from Australia to Ireland in May and have only 3 days in Belfast. I'd love to wander around the areas where they originated from.

If anyone is willing to collaborate, I would be most grateful.
Jo
