OK no problem, I hope you find the information you need.

2
The William Davis I have information on, is William Bonnick Davis, is this the person you are interested in?

3
I ordered the Retirement from Metropolitan Police Record, for William Davis, & was sent this in error.
I have 2 copies, so if anybody is researching
a George Woolway born Lapford Devon in  Dec 1841, son of William & Sarah Woolway, &
married to Sarah, this will be of interest to you.

I think you are looking at 2 distinct things here! ;D

The certificates are from the county of Middlesex, Registration District of Shoreditch, Sub-Distict of Haggerston West.

The street address is stated as Hertford Street, Shoreditch.

And what have you got against the United Kingdom?! ::) ;D ;D

Nothing against the United Kingdom, just don't feel it's necessary to use it, it makes it all so clunky. ;D

It's the addresses that are different although for the same street,  & I wasn't sure if there is a correct form, & what others would use, would they standardise, or use each one as in the certificate.

2 Hertford Street, Shoreditch
2 Hertford Street, Haggerstone, Shoreditch
2 Hertford Street, Shoreditch
2 Hertford Street, Shoreditch
11 Hertford Street, Haggerstone

I recently got back into research, & changed from PAF to RootsMagic
I decided to merge both my parents trees, as I couldn't think of a good reason to keep them separate anymore, & decided to take the opportunity for a major tidy up.
Merging duplicate sources was pretty easy.

RM wants you to separate street address/hospital/cemetery etc from the location, which is fair enough,
I hadn't realised what a mess many of my places were.
Missing counties, Country, or commas were all pretty easy, to sort, except that RM wants to add United Kingdom after England, or Scotland & I don't, & I haven't found an easy way to handle that.

Then you get to London/Middlesex  :'(
for a start RM's gazetteer seems to think nearly everywhere in London, is in Middlesex, regardless of date, so there is no easy solution there, I have to check each record to see if it's listed as Middlesex or London.

But even that isn't as straightforward as you'd think
for instance
1853 death certificate,
Shoreditch, Haggerstone West, Middlesex

2 Hertford Street, Shoreditch

1855 birth certificate,
Shoreditch, Haggerstone West, Middlesex

2 Hertford Street, Haggerstone, Shoreditch

1857 birth certificate,
Shoreditch, Haggerstone West, Middlesex

2 Hertford Street, Shoreditch

1859 birth certificate,
Shoreditch, Haggerstone West, Middlesex

2 Hertford Street, Shoreditch

1867 death certificate,
Shoreditch, Haggerstone West, Middlesex

11 Hertford Street, Haggerstone

I've got the same sort of problem with
numerous other places in London/Middlesex, & I'm not really sure,
what the correct address form would be.

How do you handle entries like this?

Makes perfect sense now I've seen the original deciphered (& the translation)  ;D

I was expecting to see his wife's name on it.

They married in 1910 but I have nothing more on them until this burial record.
The witnesses on it were his brother in law, & nephew.

Thank you so much

Cheers
Chris

I have the burial record for George Dowle,
Pretty sure the date is 7 April 1921,
after that I'm struggling until
St Louis the body of George Dowle son of Edward Dowle then some _ _ _ for where his mothers name should be.
Then I'm struggling again & I'm not sure if the name is a person, or a place, (If it's a wife, it's not the one we have him marrying in 1910)
then I get 36 years.
I think the next part is those present Ovide Rocheleau & Charles Rocheleau but can't get the bit after that.

Can anybody help me with this please?
Regards
Chris

Thank you so much
I was pretty sure, even with my lousy French, what the document was, but to have the details filled in is so helpful.
We knew Jane Popps died in 1902, but didn't know that Edward had died by 1903,
so another little bit of info on the family.

Thanks again

Chris

I have what I think may be a conversion from C of E into the RC Church in 1903, but my French is not brilliant & I'm struggling with the exact wording, if anybody could help that would be brilliant.

Some of the names I know
George Dowle,
Edward Dowle his father, Jeanny (Jane) Popps his mother
Jeanny (Jane) Dowle his sister & Ovide Rocheleau her husband
