Thanks Christopher, I placed that message in 2004 and have moved on from there. thanks, father and grandfather were born in Clonoulty, father and mother were married in London but had a note from the priest at Clonoulty to allow that marriege. I have started to work on my own mothers family for a while and will come back to the Farrells later.

Yes it is a RC marriage. They got married in London in 1930 but they both came from Clonoulty in Ireland. I may be wrong but my guess is that it is saying ok to get married and that the groom was baptised in june 1896.

Thanks for the info. I had thought it was something like that. would you be able to translate the rest of it for me? it has a date of 1895 on it and I think that was the birthdate of my husbands father, as well as 1930 the date they got married.
without knowing quite what it says it is a bit confusing.

Many thanks Freda

Hi Mossey
Back in june you gave me the name of a couple who could be the parents of granfather Patrick farrell born 1866 in Tipperary..william and katie farrell.

You also gave me details of who could be Patrick's wife  Honora Dwyer.

Can you point me in the right direction to find out more about these people. Sorry it has been a while but circumsances meant I could not look them up earlier

Monmouthshire Lookup Requests / Snowball look up please
« on: Monday 12 November 07 16:37 GMT (UK)  »
My uncle Frederick william Snowball born in london 1900 went into a orphanage in 1906, apart from knowing he worked for the customs and Excise he dissapeared until we found his death certificate.  He died in a sanatorium in Kent in 1952.
The home address given for him is

8 Tennyson Avenue  Llanwern Mon.

His wife is named as Ruby Olive Snowball

Can anyone please look up and see if any children were born to them and also when they married, I am only assuming that they lived in Wales for some time.

Any information of Tennyson Avenue would be welcome

Thanks in advance
