As you have seen those places do still exist, Kirby is about 8 miles from me and Ireleth about 3. My Quayles are spelt differently and were from the Isle of Man, descendants moved to Workington in 1850.Bootle is about 20 miles further up the coast from Kirby.

I noticed there were no Redheads on the Isle prior to 1790s. Is it Peter Redhead you mean? If so I have written to him.
