Her father was Philip Leigh, born 1753 Dartmouth (his father Philip Leigh, his mother Elizabeth Featherstonehaugh)
Her mother was Elizabeth Dunsterville  (1756–) daughter of Elias Dunsterville, a ships blockmaker in Plymouth.
They married  in 1776 at St Andrew's, Plymouth, Devon, England
by licence.
Both father and son Philip Leigh were mariners, with interest and property in the Newfoundland / Dartmouth fishing and trading enterprises.

re: Mary Ann Dunsterville (Daughter of Elias Dunsterville and Thomasin Scott). Baptised: St Andrews, Plymouth, Devon, England on 10th Sep 1760. Died: Dartmouth in 1810.
She married Jonathan Steed Puddicombe (1759-1820) on 1 April 1786 at St Saviour, Dartmouth. He was from a long line of Puddicombes from Bovey Tracey in Devon, and moved to Dartmouth to practise as a doctor. I am a descendant of their son James Jack Puddicombe (b.1792) who married Rebecca Smith in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire in 1818.
