Further to my reply of a few years ago now, Simon's uncle was Benjamin Howlett who married Elizabeth Messenger in Thame in 1755.  Simon's father being Benjamin Howlett m. Mary Harris

Update:  I contacted Beckeneham and they have found her for me.  Thanks all

I have a Mary Meade marrying Simon Howlett (my direct line) in 1674.  They are of Towersey.  Ring any bells?

Only Harris connection I have at the moment is Mary Harris who marries Benjamin Howlett in 1721 in Thame.  Can't be of any more help at the moment - awaiting PRs

I haven't, no.  Looks like that's going to be my port of call first  ;D

Thank-you so much for taking a look firstly.

Her death certificate states that her husband was living at 86,Byrne Road, Sydenham at the time and is covered by the Bromley registration district in the sub district of Orpington.  She passed on the 11th August 1939 in the County Hospital,Farnborough, Orpington.

I have done a little digging into known family graves (not literally) and she is not there.

Any further help would be greatly appreciated.

Long shot, but is there someone out there who is taking a trip to the Bromley Local Studies Library at all?

I am seeking the burial record for my Great Aunt, Gertrude Elizabeth Huggins (nee Howlett) who died 11th August 1939 in Farnborough Hospital aged 33.  Sadly, I am unaware of where Gertrude is buried and should love to know the details inorder to visit the grave.

Many thanks in advance,

Emma

The pictures were never reunited with their owners - to the best of my knowledge.  It appears that Getty Images now own the copyright and they want an extortionate amount to use it anywhere!
One of the chaps (whose head you can see) is wearing a German Great Coat!
I have some incredible photos - they were quite an unusual artillery unit.

Thanks for the interest,
Em
