Limerick / Re: Marriage of a soldier stationed at Sarsfield Barracks about 1848
« on: Sunday 14 April 13 15:04 BST (UK)  »
Just noticed a Limerick Leader news article saying that a book about the Sarsfield Barracks was produced circa 2008.  One of the 4 authors, a Sgt Kelly, said, "We only recently found records, thanks to Noreen Ellerker in St Michael's Church, from the garrison church which go from 1856 to 1906 and have information on all the people who were buried and baptised in the church here."

Okay ;o))    Thanks for that, Shane.   So then does the DUBLIN GRO hold the same stuff (prior to 1922) as the ROSCOMMON GRO ?   Excuse my thick headednes!!  I'm a stickler for details.

TO ShaneW147:   Just one final thing.  When I asked how to order LISMORE certs, you provided the ROSCOMMON GRO info.   Doesn't WATERFORD have a GRO?

Waterford / Lismore Birth Records
« on: Sunday 01 May 11 10:31 BST (UK)  »
Does anyone know of a simple way to order a birth certificate from Lismore, Waterford County?  I have the name, year of birth (1884), and the quarter registered (Jun).

Is there a courthouse or archives that I could telephone?  The Heritage Centre charges too much money from what I'm told.

Nick...the link you provided for the photo of famlies at Spalding does not work.  Could you send to me?  I'm interested in the Chesterton family.
