Hi Joe
Mary Stanley Marrow baptised 17.9. 1843 St Michaels, Toxteth Park, Lancashire
Mary's parents are William Marrow & Pheobe Bolton. They married 1837 at Runcorn county Cheshire.
Mary's siblings are
Richard Stanley Marrow b.1842
Charlotte Ardearn Marrow  b. 1848
Thomas Stanley Marrow b. 1851.
All were baptised at Toxteth Park, except Thomas Stanley, he was baptised at St Helens.

I have Mary's birth cert which states William as being a book keeper, they lived in Lark Lane (sub district of Toxteth Park)
Mary's marriage at St Peters, Blackburn 22.4.1862 states
William as a Attorney's Clerk.

Mary married Eli Fletcher. I have no further info on the Marrow family. Eli & Mary are my gggt grandparents, I have them in the 1871 census, Mary died 1876. I do have Eli in the cencus 1841 thru to 1901. If I could have the cencus with Mary for 1841. 51 & 61 would be great.

Thanks

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: Thomas Fletcher of Blackburn - 1851 Look-up Please

Hi Georgie

No sorry but none of your Howarth names tie in with what I have on my Fletcher's. Tho, the Fletcher's were in Burnley & Oldham. I haven't yet found the parents of my William Fletcher, so not sure if born in Oldham, where he married Betty Heywood.

I was hopeing perhaps Mary Fletcher (marr. John Howarth)  may have been a sister of William's father & we could have assisted each other.

Thanks     Caryn

Hi Georgie

Yes Thank You very much.

I see you have Howarth as one of your names, I have a marriage of Mary Fletcher to John Howarth at Oldham on 2nd Nov 1749. My line of William & Betty Heywood marr. at Oldham in 1800. If this ties in with your research I surely would appreciate some help.

William & Betty had 10 children, I've not done too badly in tracking 3 of the children & am more than happy to share any info with you if you are following the Fletchers at all.

Thanks again
Caryn

Hi Goggy,

Thanks for the info. I hadn't thought of my flagger & slater ancestors working indoors, to me it was more of a paving & roofing thing. Thank you for the further insight into the trade.
