Hi J.J.  Thanks, I'm still new to this method of contact.  I did however get a reply from Paula and I've been able to e-mail her.  Thanks again for your help.

Hello J.J.  I sure would like to see the archives out there.  There must be lots of little tidbits.  I came across a book called "Fort Temiskaming and the Fur Trade" written by Eleanor Allen Mitchell and publised by the University of Toronto, it has lots of great stuff including info on George and Angus McBride.  Do you know who wrote Temiskaming Treasures - The Earliest Years?  Thanks again for all your help.  LindaLucy

Hello Paula42, I just found this site and am learning as I go.  I am a daughter of James Donald Gannon, who is the son of Peter John Gannon & Mary Lucy Elizabeth McLaren.  My father is a brother of Simon Peter Gannon who married Bertha Melinda Clattenburg as well as a brother of Mary Ellen Teresa Gannon who married Issac Archibald Clattenburg.  I have been researching my family tree and can go back 5 generations of Gannons and back to 1803 on my Grandmothers side McLaren/McBride and various Canadian Natives from the James Bay area.  I can possibly put you in touch with someone who may have more info on the Clattenburgs.  Are you still researching?
