Wow, you are all so helpful.  Thank you so much.

I think this is my John.  He has a big connection with East Brent.

What is a Governess... and would that explain her 'lady' title?

Hi there

How very kind of you to do these looks ups for us.

I am interested in  Robert Huett, and his wife Eleanor Hucklebridge.  How long they were in Tauton I'm not sure, but they lived there when my GGgrandafather was born in 1820.

Hi all

I would like to let you know about my genealogy service, Burial Grounds of Tasmania.

We are a group of people who take headstone photos in Tasmania,  and so far we have over 12,000 photos.

The areas we have covered include: Ridgley, Deloraine, Lilydale, Carrick, Cressy, Westbury, Ulverstone, Scotsdale, Longford, Hadspen, Hagley, Wyena, Lebrina, Pisa, Lake River, Darlington Park and Carr Villa (Launceston).

We have a searchable database at http://www.bgot.org
OUr database is not up to date yet,  so if you have any requests from the above,  please let me know.

Best wishes, sandy

Somerset / John Hucklebridge HUETT / Lady Agnes SKINNER
« on: Tuesday 14 October 08 23:01 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone

I'm keen to find information on:

John Hucklebridge Huett (Born in Taunton, 1820)
Parents:  Robert Huett and Eleanor Hucklebridge

and his wife

Lady Agnes Skinner (born in 1829 , Westminster).
Parents:  James Skinner

This pair emegrated to Tasmania in 1860ish.

I'm very interested to find out more information about them before they came to Tasmania.

John apparently trained as a doctor, and I'd love to find out more info on that.  Also, why Agnes Skinner was known as 'Lady'.

Any advice on where I should start would be wonderful.
