The Gloucester Archives found William's Christening for me, on 5 Dec 1823, to Thomas and Mary Ryall. I've since found out that Elizabeth was Mary's mother, and her father was Henry.

Westmorland Lookup Requests / Marriage lookup please, Sedgwick

Hi,
I am looking for the marriage of George Sedgwick (christened 18 May 1781, Helme, Ormside) and Jane.

I have them on the 1841 census in Old Hutton. Her age is given as 50, so a birth between 1786-1791, and she was born in Westmorland.
They had their children christened in Crossby Ravensworth.
William 11 Feb 1816
George 27 Dec 1818
Thomas 20 May 1821
I have checked the IGI's to no avail.

I would be grateful for any help finding this marriage.

You were right! Thank you so much.
I found him. He died Jun 1840 in Thornbury.
I presumed it would say deceased on it, instead of occupation. Mystery solved.
I have another one in another part of my tree that I can't find. Maybe he's dead too? I will look.
There is a Mary Royall living in Thornbury on the 1841 with some children and an older Elizabeth Royall (could be a mother-in-law). Just have to wait for Gloucestershire archives to find William now.

Sorry, I didn't make it very clear.
It's William's father Thomas that I can't find on the census'. He should at least be on the 1841, because William gives his fathers details as 'Thomas Royal, Labourer' on his 1847 marriage.
I have William on the census, but I can't link him to his parents. I was hoping for a mother's name on William's Christening, so I had another avenue to search. There aren't that many Royal's in Gloucester.

William married in the Parish church in Thornbury, which is all I know about his religion.

The closest LDS church library to me is about 3/4 hour away by car. I have 4 children, so unfortunately it's not very practical.
You did give me an idea though, I could get the Gloucesterhire Archives to do a search for me. It takes a while though, but I will let you know the results.

Hi,
I am searching for the christening of William Royal circa 1826, in Olveston.
I have his marriage certificate to Sarah Phillips in 1847, and this gives his father as Thomas Royal, Labourer. I think he may have had a brother, Mark Royal born in Olveston around 1828. Neither are listed on Family History.org
I can't find Thomas Royal on the Gloucestershire census' for 1841.
I would be grateful for any help finding this christening, so I can find his mother.

Monmouthshire Lookup Requests / Marriage look up Penrhos Completed Thank you

Hi,
I'm trying to trace my maternal line, but I'm having problems finding a marriage between John Jones and Pleasant, between about 1792 and 1802 in Penrhos.
I have them on the 1841 census in Ragland. John Jones born 1772 in Monmouthshire. Pleasant was born 1774 in Monmouthshire. She died in 3 Mar 1851, and the age is consistant on the death cert.
I found the following children on Family History.org
Pleasant Jones Christened 28 Apr 1802 in Penrhos
Ann Jones Christened 22 Feb 1807 in Penrhos
Elizabeth Jones Christened 14 Jun 1812 in Penrhos
I would be extremely grateful if anyone could find any information on this marriage for me.
