Dear Mike,
Thank you so much for all the trawling, I appreciate it very much. I'm sure a lot of the info is relevant and I'm really grateful for the time you have taken.

I wonder if anyone could look up the  following two people on the 1841 census.

William Jelley born Lutterworth would be around 21 years old
Sarah Ainge born Wigston Magna would be around 14 years old.

Any help greatly appreciated

Silly me, I just realised the children weren't born in 1841, so it will just be John and Susan Tuck....sorry

Cambridgeshire / Re: Anyone living in or near Ely, Cambridge?
« on: Friday 17 December 04 10:22 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Anjo, I have only just read this post. I live in Ely so I went to check it out.
Sorry to say the properties are no longer standing, though buildings were still being shown on the 1975 map of Ely, so I guess they were demolished after then. The site now forms the corner of the Paradise Sports Field (better than a multi-storey car park!)
I took some photos of the area if you would like me to send them to you just let me know where to. Cheers.

Many thanks to you both. Nicky I feel sure that you have come up with the right William as I know he had a Younger brother Thomas. Thanks again.

Completed Census Requests / 1891 norfolk look up please

Has anyone got the patience to look up William Smith for me on the 1891 Norfolk census. I know that he was born in Norfolk, possibly Denver, and would be 17 years old.
I can't find him on the 1901 census, probably because he was away fighting in the Boer war in South Africa. Thanks.
