Hello, Dinky
Thank you for your message, via the Moderator.
My friend is interested in exploring the family of Christopher Travis, b. about 1812 in Saddleworth, Rochdale, Lancashire, UK (now Yorkshire after earlier boundary change) and his wife, Sarah RILEY born about 1814 in either Liverpool, Lancashire or Dublin City, Ireland (different Census reports offer both options). He was a soldier, turned warder in military prisons, in UK and Ireland and he and Sarah lived a long and apparently happy marriage with numerous children, dying in Wandsworth, London, UK in the late 1890s. Happy to supply more detail if you think we are on a shared journey! Kind regards, Fontes
