I have just noticed your message from just over a year ago and as a result will keep this short.

I am a descendant of Michael's sister Frances Mary, My mother has told me of a few stories of Michael, especially from when he was living in Liverpool, think he stayed in Knotty Ash with my Aunt Nell. I know of Charles but forget most, will need to dig out my records. Was he the police officer?? Who are you?

Paul

Hi Mitch

Many thanks for the information. I am pretty sure this guy was my g grandmothers brother who died in Somme, the details you have provided all fit-in. He also had a brother who fought in the Great War (not sure if he was killed or not) his name was Jeremiah. If you do come accross him, i would again appreciate any oinformation.

Many thanks

Paul

Has anybody come across the surname Desforges (may be spelt without the s on the end) who lived in or around Cork circa 1870's. My initial lead is my GG Grandmother whose maiden name was Frances Mary Desforges who married Frederick James Campbell in St Patricks Church in 1896, i am currently waiting for a copy of the certificate coming through from the church.
Also, could anyone advise of any good sites? Help!!!
Many Thanks
Paul
