Hi Everybody
Gosh i'm overwelmed with the response thank you all so much.
I think the couple killed on the level crossing may not be him if the accident was 1955 and he was 39yrs of age which means he would have been born 1916 which is to late.

My dad thinks it would be around 1906 he was born and the only name had was Thomas Scott and the other was Thomas William Scott.
He think he emigrated 1928-1930 thats all we have i'm afraid

Thanks again
Karen

Hi Wivenhoe
                   Thank you for your reply.
My grandfather Thomas Scott left Scotland and emigrated to Canberra Australia in 1928-1930. thats all we know of him.
No my father's parents weren't married, my father was fostered out when he was born.
We managed to get the sealed records for (name of mother/ father) all it said for father is Canberra Australia sandpit worker. not sure if he married in Austraila
My Dad thinks his father would have been born 1904/1906. nothing else i'm afraid.
and my dad was born 1928 in Scotland his name is Thomas Scott Aitchison

thank you

Hi Carol
            Thank you for your reply.
All my father knows about his dad is that, he was born in Scotland(midlothian area) and went to Australia about 1928-1930, he was a sandpit worker in scotland.

We found his mother last year unfortunately she passed away, and found out she worked in a poorhouse.( Mary boner Aitchison 1905-1983) as my father was fostered out the only thing we have really is his name Thomas Scott(Canbera austraila).
And as you have said there are hundreds of them, trying to narrow them down found one who was born 05/04/1906(so could be) father Robert James   mother Marion Lawnie.  thats as far as i've got PHEW!!

thank you
