Hi Everyone. I'm new here so please let me know if I have posted in the wrong spot.
I'm trying to locate information on my GGG-Grandfather James McCudden. He married Catherine Hughes early to mid 1800's and they had two children that I know of... John and Elizabeth. Elizabeth married (John?) Taylor and they had 4 boys... James, Joseph, Thomas and Peter. James and Catherine brought their son John and their Taylor grandchildren to Canada around 1862.
I found the McCuddens in the 1851 and 1861 census for England but I can't find them anywhere else. It is rumoured that they came from County Cork but I can't confirm it. I also can't find anything on a McCudden/Taylor marriage.
Are there any other McCudden researchers out there that can help or can anyone else shed some light on this family

I remember seeing once that there were McCudden researchers in Australia. I was hoping they were part of this web site and would check their notes.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure where they're from in Ireland. I haven't been able to find any information on them and there aren't a lot of people researching McCudden.

Could someone please check to see if James and Catherine McCudden are in the 1841 census for either England or Ireland? Thank You. McCudden might be spelled differently.
They can be found in the 1851 and 1861 census under Drumburgh, Cumberland.

Their daughter Bestie married a Taylor and they had 4 boys... James, Peter, Joseph and Thomas.
