You just need to search for Baradine 1927 and scroll through until you find the reference to the passenger list.

Where and when was this marriage.  What were the names of the couple who were getting married

His son's birth cert states that John was born in Norfolk.

Technical Help / Re: Issue with Editing Search information on Ancestry

I have tried different browsers, Firefox and Chrome, different keyboards, just my laptop with no keyboard or monitor connected, cleared cache/cookies.

The significance of the lower case letter 'r' is that Ancestry uses it as a hotkey for 'refine'.  It shouldn't work that way when the cursor is in a search field but that is what is happening for me.

I wonder what the marriage certificate says. You would think Maud would have had that, to at least enter a father.

Marriages Mar 1917   (>99%)
Grundy    Horace J    Hollands    Tonbridge    2a   1375
Hollands    Lilian M    Grundy    Tonbridge    2a   1375

Here is one I made earlier  ;D

Devon / Re: Brock family missing a few details

I've been looking for a few more clues... I don't have the subscription to check for shipping records but I did come across a name on the death certificate of elder sister Elizabeth's death certificate in 1888. I cannot make out the name - could it be Jane?

Any thoughts much appreciated as always.

I think it is her sister-in-law Eliza WALL who married James William HOSKIN.

..... and he was not on the 1891 census.

This is probably a good clue that he was not recorded with the surname that he later used.
