Thank you, Sandra. It has been a while since I looked at this site. Interesting to read that Georgina has two daughters. Lerna was my husband's mother but we have never heard of Bernice. Knew there was a sister, Bobby, who had disappeared at the start of WWII and believed there was one called Margaret. Did not know that my husband's uncle Orin was born in Montana. Thanks again for your information.

Thank you for all that information, Trish. I don't know too much about Elizabeth or Betsy, as she was called. I believe her sister Margaret was born in Knockehillock which may be close to Knockando. Betsy may have married a Robert Ross but according to my now deceased mother, Isabella, Betsy's daughter, was known as Isabella McLachlan or ROBB...not Ross.  Do think she was illegitimate.

Strange to see that Margaret, Elizabeth's mother, was a Grant or Black. I have Grants from Banffshire on my father's side.

Alex and Margaret were my 3 x great grandparents. Am interested in finding out the names of their children, in particular their daughter Elizabeth also known as Betsy. Am pretty sure she was the mother of Isabella the mother of my grandmother. Thank you for any help.

Thank you Annette and manawakian. Georgina Weir is definitely buried at Fort Langley. I have a photo of her gravestone and that of her husband Orin. Always interesting to know why people move from one place to another.

Rodneycatt, I can only personal message you if you have at least 3 postings on Rootschat. Think you have only two.  If you reply to this you will have one more and then I can contact you. I am travelling from New Zealand to the UK next week and plan to be in New Pitsligo to look at graves.Would love to know more of husband's grandmother as he knows so little.

Rodneycatt I do think we have a match. How can I personal message you to give you some information?

Thank you Annette for fixing that up. Just quickly read rodneycatt details yesterday but was a bit busy to reply. Easy to make a mistake. Am sure I have Georgina's info correct now and plan to visit her parents' graves very soon.
