Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Re: 1841 Census - Nuneaton
« on: Tuesday 29 November 11 18:10 GMT (UK)  »
That would be great....banging my head against a brick wall as I can't get any firm data despite going to records offices years ago.

Now more and more is being improved online with transcribing, things are getting better. I have just ordered Josiah Paillin's birth certificate as I could never find the volume and page etc before.

Also locating through this post Hannah and William on the 1841 census is a bit of a break through. I have only had Hannah grandparent and Josiah aged 2 for years and years now. I also have Josiah and Elizabeths baptism record, But nothing earlier such as a Marriage certificate or birth records.

The earliest certificate I have is a death certificate for John Paling, 3rd child of Hannah and William aged 1 16th January 1843. William is a cordwainer and Hannah's maiden name is Randle on all the documents I have. They had 11 children alltogether.

I'm on Genes Reunited if you are under Julie Paillin

Hope to hear from you shortly.

Many Thanks

Julie

The information on William and Hannah is very useful to myself too. I am a direct decendant of William and Hannah, Via Josiah Pailin, now my name is spelt PAILLIN. If you have found any new information since the posts I would be very grateful. I seem to have got stuck somewhat with the Pailing/Palin/Paillin tree going back much further.

Thanks

Thankyou for posting that...I was wondering about any earlier than (1861) that as I did manage to (1871) on ancestry.com.

Do you know anyone researching that name as well?

Many thanks for replying, it is very kind of you and at least I know they weren't there in 1851. Thank you

Kind Regards

Julie

Hi,

Is anyone reseraching Coltons in Barley. I have My great granmother Gertrude Colton's father was Thomas Colton, Born Barley, Hertfordshire. Married Emma and later Lizzie. Also had Emily daughter and lived in Leicester.

I would be interested in anyone who has researched the coltons from Barley/nuthampstead.

Or anyone who has the census or BDM info that could tell me more.

Kind Regards

Julie
