Staffordshire Lookup Requests / Re: LookUp for Sellman, 1861,Knightley

Hi Bob
I'm impressed that people still look that far back and thank you for that information on Susanna.
I don't suppose you have any way of looking for a birth record - I still can't find her!  It seems strange as the family had been in Gnossal for generations.  I must admit that life has got in the way quite a bit lately, so I haven't been able to delve very much.
Thanks again
Wendy

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: 1861 Look Up Liverpool

Thanks for sorting me out (and I have to say this is not the first time I have made a bloomer).  I have also been searching for another relative who would be on the 1861 census, so I'm afraid I have confused the two.  Apologies for wasting your time and thanks every so much for your help.  This does look very possible.  I had tried seraching the 1881 census but I didn't come up with this result.  Must try harder or perhaps learn what to enter in the search boxes and what to leave out?
Thanks again
Wendy

Hi Mary
Thanks for your help.  When Eliza married in 1909 she gives her age as 36, so I figure that takes us to a birth in 1873.  The marriage certificate is very poor but I think her father Richard was a journeyman, does that help?  In 1901 she was living in Liverpool with my greatgrandfather Llewellyn Manley as Florence Manley (her middle name) with my grandmother Florence (6) and sister Maud (4).  In 1891 Llewellyn was still with his mother.  So I presume they got together around 1894? I can't seem to trace Eliza before living with Llewellyn.  (However, I am quite new to all this)  Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks for your time and patience

Thanks for replying, even if the result was not the one I was hoping for.
Is there any other way that I could trace family after the 1901 census.  I am struggling with finding recent links.  It seems strange that coming forward is harder than going back!!  Any ideas would be gratefully received.

A question for all you wise ones out there...  Is it true that you can have a search of 1911/21 census information?  (I think I read it somewhere a while back)  If so how do I go about it?
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Thank you for looking for me.  It seems that my Eliza wishes to stay annonymous!!
Perhaps, as you say someone out there may have a more up to date version and be kind enough to look for me.
Thanks again

Hi Could any one spare some time to look up Eliza Florence Parker for me in the 1861 census.  Her father is a Richard Parker and  she gives her birth place as Liverpool.  She also married in West Derby Liverpool. That's all I Know so far... So here's hoping.
Thank you
Wendy

Cheshire Completed Lookup Requests / Re: Eliza Parker Stockport, 1881 Look Up

Hi Peter
I don't quite know how to tell you this but .... it seems that the Stockport thing was a bit of very early detective work which obviously went seriously wrong!!!  I think I ws just looking up individuals and not putting them together.  Cringe with embarassment.  Why does the nutter always sit next to me? you may well ask.  In my normal life I am quite competent (don't quote me on that) but somehow in this field I keep getting my knickers in a twist.  Many, many profuse apologies and just as many thanks for spotting my error.  I don'tl even like to say that at the moment I have had no luck tracing her in Lancashire either - but that's another story and (thankfully for you) not your area.  I promise to try harder in future.
