Thanks heatherjulie, I have come to many of the same conclusions as you today, just never 'sure' that one Elizabeth is 'my' Elizabeth :) That is a great help. And norfolkgal if you do read this, are we related?? :)

Hi :)

I've k=juts found your 10 year old post about how you were researching the Leah family of Stockport. I am in Australia and I am doing the same :) I have an Elizabeth Ramscar who marries a Leah (possibly a William Leah who dies in 1838) and has 2 children, Mary Ann Leah (not sure on her birth date, perhaps 1825?) and Joseph Leah (1823). She then marries a Scot, Andrew Dearing in 1838. Any of mine match with yours?

Cheers and Happy New Year from Melbourne.

Ha look what i started :)

No, no need to delete!!! :) I don't feel silly. Thanks again!!!

No it's ok! I don't feel so moronic now I know it is a 'hidden' feature! I thought it would be staring me in the face!! ;D

Thanks, yes i understand why they do it; just didn't find it explained anywhere :)  ;D

Thanks ruskie, you've just given me a legitimate reason to post a third time!!  ;)

Thank you both for your reply! That rule wasn't obvious to me anywhere!  So I guess I shall just keep reading in here and find something to reply to!! Cheers!

OK so I have hunted and hunted but can't work out HOW to PM someone.... I have done a surname search, found someone I wish to PM, and can't figure out for the life of me how.

(Please, once I have an answer and am very embarrassed, can a mod delete this topic??? :) )
