hello Jim, your query reminded me of a response I had to my Slevin query on Irelandxo on the Donegal message board (page 8 on Donegal messages) over 1year ago.
The person who responded had the name of Boyce. This is what he said,Nancy Slevin/Slavin after her husband Michael died, emigrated with her seven sons, Patrick,James,John(Jack),William,Henry,Michael,Owen and one daughter Catherine to Saint Elzear,Quebec. They settled on six adjoining farms in the Saint-Olivier Range(Road),I haven,t  written all of what he wrote, but it might be worth having a look on Irelandxo and read the message yourself, its the Donegal message board page 8,it took me a while to find it again.
Also there is a family tree on Ancestry and I think it is from the same person, there are photos as well. unfortunately this wasn,t my line of Slevins as mine as far as I have researched are from Goladdoo,Donegal.  Hope this helps!

This may be a small offering,in my home town in Lanarkshire, there is Murdostoun Castle, Allanton estate which was owned from the 1800s by Robert Stuart/Stewart, an ex provost of Glasgow, then by his son J C Stuart/Stewart,the castle was sold in the 1980s I think. so there must be some history of those Stuart/stewart,maybe Lanarkshire Family History have some info on them.
