How wonderful to have  contact with you, thank you. My GGGrandfather was James Goble -1829/1887, John's (circa 1789) youngest son, I think Amelia was the last sibling before James whilst William was the first born.

My line is John the confectioner, his son James and wife Caroline Harris - c:1827/28 and died in Adelaide in 1918 aged 91 years - They arrived here in Australia when Elizabeth, their first child, was 7 months old, on the ship "Epaminondas".
Elizabeth Caroline married George Babstock- of South Australia and had one child, Harry. Elizabeth then married Carl Alfred Dau of South Australia and had 4 children that survived more than 12 months. Her youngest daughter Edith Myrtle married Peter Clarn of London, they had only one child, my mother Shirley Myrtle who married Cyril Douglas Rosenhain of South Australia.

I am really keen to get anything to further my research, especially as where John came from and what was his wife's surname? Anything else is a bonus, thanks again.

Can someone please help me find the ancestors of John GOBLE born C 1785 probably Canterbury, Kent. Even a birth record, marriage, amything please.

My GGGrandfather was James Goble. His parents were JOHN GOBLE c: 1785 and Elizabeth unknown (possibly Collins) and he was the youngest of 7 children, all born in Kent.

James was born 1827, and died in South Australia in 1887. (He married Caroline Harris, also born in in Caterbury, Kent in 1852)

James, his wife Caroline and baby Elizabeth sailed to South Australia when Elizabeth was 7 months old, (late 1853) on the ship SS "Epaminondas".
Elizabeth Catherine GOBLE was the eldest of 11 children and the only one born in Kent, the others were all born and died in South Australia.

Elizabeth Catherine DAU, born in Canterbury, 1853
Married - on 14 Mar 1877, in Adelaide, South Australia.

Does any body have any information to help me with this please? Where did he go?

Fact:
1. James born Canterbury, Kent, 1829
2. died in South Australia on November 16th, 1887, I have no death certificate but a relative does.
3. I have no marriage certificate but another relative does. she says John Goble listed as James' father but no father listed for his wife Elizabeth.
4. My relative has given me the names and birth years for James' older siblings.
5. I have him on both the 1841 and 1851 Census, still in Canterbury Kent
