Hannah Allen Riley didn't have a sister, she only had a brother named Henry. Hannah's father William Allen and mother Apollonia Phillips had two children, but neither of them were named Sara. I think there might be a couple of Sara Bird's!

Thank you for the information!

I have the Marriage certificate for Martin Riley and Hannah Allen Riley from 1867 in Warwickshire. Martin and Sarah Allen Bird were witnesses at the marriage. I am uncertain how Sarah Allen Bird and my gr. gr. grandmother are related. I wish the names were not so common :(

Thank you for checking! I figured that he must have been living in Brailes in 1851 because his daughter was born there in 1849....

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / 1841 and 1851 census look-ups
« on: Sunday 27 March 05 00:15 GMT (UK)  »
I am requesting a census look-up for
Thomas Phillips born in about 1802 in Sibford Ferris, Oxforshire. In 1871 he was living in Brailes, Warwickshire. His wife's name is Esther and he was listed as a barber and a plush weaver. In 1871 the street that he lived on was L? Brailes. He had a daughter named Mary who was born in about 1849 in Brailes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / 1841 Warwickshire Look-up Please

I am trying to locate information on a family that lived in Warwickshire. I found them in the 1851 census and they were living in Knowle Solihull, Warwickshire. The information that I have from the 1851 census is this -

William Allen (head) 58 - born in Preston
Appoloni Allen (wife) 48 - born in Brailes
Henry Allen (son) 13 - born in Knowle
Hannah Allen (daughter) 10 - born in Knowle

The parents are older so it seems to me that they must have had other children who were probably out of the house when the 1851 census was taken, but who might be listed in the 1841 census. Any help would be greatly appreciated!  ;D

I haven't made any progress for this side of my family. It's as though there aren't any relatives anywhere! I wish that I had more information to post...   :-[
