From the marriage certificate James O Neill residence at the time of his marriage is Tullyreavey and Briget Devlin
residence is Keenaghan
Witnesses to the wedding are a Henry Lennon and Sarah Fodden I could be wrong with Sarah's surname its hard to read from the wedding certificate I have also the residence of James and Bridget are hard to read

Can anyone help me with my family search my I'm trying to find my family roots all I know is that my great grandfather James oneill married Bridget Devlin 1873 in Pomeroy roman catholic chapel Dunamore??? county Tyrone
from the wedding certificate it states that James was a farmer and also his father Arthur was a farmer Bridgets father Charles was also a farmer the date of the wedding was the 2nd of October
James and Bridget left Ireland to live in the north east of England and had there first child of 10 in 1874 Stockton
from census records James had a brother Arthur age 38 in 1891 and Bridget also had a brother Charles age 36 1901
I have tried for over 5 years to find out about my family roots in Ireland but with the surname Oneill it seems like I'm
hitting a brickwall I hope somebody can help me with this task

I wonder if anyone has any information on the family of James Coyle who was born in LOUTH 1849
at the momement im trying to research my family tree and James is my grandmothers GrandFather
all I know about James is from the English Census records
1881 Census he is with his wife Martha at 3 Backway BishopAuckland County Durham England with a Daughter Elizabeth
James is aged 32 Martha is aged 25 and Elizabeth is aged 5
Martha and Elizabeth are both born in Consett north east of England James is a labourer on the census  I cant find anymore information about James
I would very grateful if anybody has any information about James family ie his Father Mother and any siblings

On the wedding cert Michaels profession is a metal carrier also he put down a x down for his signature possible could not read or write

elizabeth was born 15th November 1874 2 Long Row Thornaby the 1st child of James and Bridget O Neill
from the 1881 census the family lived at Low Lackenby oneill was spelt oneil on the census and her name was Lizzie also in the family where her sisters Bridget - Sarah - Matilda ( Sarah and Matilda where both born in Warrenby James Terrace 1877 and 1880 found birth certs Bridget was born in Thornaby 1876 Long Row ) From the 1891 census the family lived at 97 Bessemmer St Grangetown the family had grown now there was also a further 4 children Mary- James - catherine - John Arthur there was also a further child a twin to catherine charles who died age 15 days old
From the 1901 census the family still lived at 97 Bessemmer St Grangetown the family then was parents James and Bridget daughter Mary age 18 sons James age 16 John Arthur age 12 and a further son Joseph age 8 the rest of the family had married but ????? where was ELIZABETH i cant find her or her husband MICHAEL
oneil became oneill on the census records from 1901 but on the wedding certificate for James and Bridget it is spelt oneill county tyrone 1873
From the 1911 census the family had moved to 116 Bessemmer St Grangetown but my great grandmother was a widow James had died in in 1904 Eston hospital age 50 accident at Lackenby Iron Works

can anybody help me with my family search my great aunt Elizabeth oneill is a mystery she is the daughter of James and Bridget oneill Elizabeth was born in Thorny 2 long row on The 15th November 1874 the first of 10 children of my great grand parents the family eventually moved to grangetown Bessemer street around the late 1880s after being in warren by and lacken by
on The 26th may 1900 age 25 Elizabeth married Michael Daley at st Marys chapel chem st grangetown Michael is the son of William Daley the residence of Elizabeth was 97 Bessemer st and Michael's was 45 Vaughan st his age was also 25 the witnesses to the marriage where Mary oneill and thomas Tarrah i have been unable to find any records of Elizabeth and Michael from the census records 1901 - 1911
i am the grandson of john Arthur oneill and Alice oneill (nee mulligan ) i would be grateful for any information regarding the above
PS there is a lot of oneills from the grangetown area which can be a stumbling block when trying to find family
my great grandparents where married in county Tyrone 1873 Bridget's maiden name Devlin on the wedding cert his profession farmer and his fathers name is Arthur also a farmer and Bridget's fathers name is Charles also a farmer i have been unable to find any information about either of my great great grand fathers IRELAND is a brickwall for searching

Trying to find information about my mothers family .her fathers name was Patrick Joseph Farrell
his fathers name was James Farrell and his mother was Catherine (possible Brennan) James was
a master cooper.from the 1911 census the family of 9 children lived 14 Thomas St Cordarragh Kiltamagh Co Mayo

Patrick joseph married in Bradford Yorkshire 14 April 1928 to a Annie Marie King (parents of my mother)
my mother has no information on the Farrell family from Co Mayo
from the 1901 census found that James and Catherine living at 9 Pound St Kiltimagh Co Mayo with 2 children
Ellen and Delia
question where did James and Catherine get married
question what are the names of the parents of James and Catherine
(James and Catherine may have married in 1898 South Mayo ????)

any help with the above question i would be very happy

im so glad that there is somebody out there looking for the family of james and bridget o neill.
my side of the family starts from my grand-father JOHN ARTHUR son of james and bridget and brother of JAMES
JOHN ARTHUR was born in grangetown in 1888 and married ALICE MULLIGAN at st marys church 17-5-1918
they had 8 children JAMES-BRIDGET-JOSEPH-JOHN-MARTHA-PETER-BRIAN-MARY my father was john who passed
away in 2000 the only one remaining out of the 8 is my aunty mary .
I HAVE THE MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE OF JAMES AND MARY ANN FINN 27-1-1906 ST MARYS CHURCH GRANGETOWN
in 1911 there were living in southbank at 18 upper graham st with 3 sons JAMES-THOMAS-JOSEPH also living
with them CHARLOTTE FINN (MOTHER-IN-LAW) SARAH E FINN (SISTER-IN-LAW) and a JOSEPH FINN AGE 3
going back to james and bridgets family
elizabeth married a michael daley 26-5-1900
bridget married a james darrock 18-8-1894
sarah married a michael mcgarity 22-7-1899
matilda married a francis morris 21-12-1898
mary married a patrick james rodgers 13-6-1914
catherine married a james donaghey 13-10-1916
joseph married a sarah elizabeth mclhatton 31-12-1916   i hope this helps mick

can any one help im trying to find my great grand fathers family in Ireland.his name is James o neill
he married bridget devlin in pomeroy on the 2-10-1873 .
then came over to england and had his first two children elizabeth/bridget in thornaby (stockton) then moved
to grangetown and worked in the iron works and had a further 7 children matilda/mary/james/catherine/charles thomas/JOHN ARTHUR GRAND FATHER/ joseph .
he died at the age of 50 in 1904 due to a accident at the iron works . grangetown is in the north-east of england
between middlesbrough and redcar
his fathers name was arthur who was a farmer (found on wedding cert)
he also had a brother also called arthur ( 1891 census age 38 97 bessmer st grangetown )
from wedding cert James profession was also a farmer
i have hit a brick wall trying to find anything about the Irish side of my family
but i hope with the help of Rootschat.Com somebody can help me
