re Josiah Stanley and descendants - I have a reasonable amount of information on this family. I was just looking at the line via John Henry (who married twice; Phoebe Webb & Elizabeth Barnes). He still has Stanley descendants living in the Cannock area. I definitely have continuations for some of Josiah's other children, though I will have to dust that off. I am descended from Josiah's cousin Albert Stanley who came (with several brothers & parents) from Dawley to the Cannock coalfield at much the same time as Josiah.
