My father, HAROLD SALISBURY, was born Feb 19, 1908 in Adelaide South Australia, to AMY LOUISA SALISBURY, father unknown. Harold was raised in Morgan South Australia by Amy's mother, MARIA AUGUSTA DOHNT, (nee ALTMANN) and previously widowed when her first husband, WILLIAM WALTER EDWARD SALISBURY was killed in a buggy accident in the Adelaide Hills.
Harold's mother, AMY, married DIMITRIUS GAVROS and they had five sons and one daughter. I have no information of who they are and where they are.
Harold married GRACE EVELYN COOK on March 22, 1927. They had 7 children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. HAROLD SALISBURY passed away in 1988. GRACE SALISBURY celebrated her 100th birthday on October 9, 2010, in Adelaide South Australia. GRACE'S mother, ROSE KELLY, was born in Ireland but they moved to England and changed their surname to PECK. They had ten children and Rose, after marrying SYDNEY WALTER COOK, immigrated to Australia with their two children, DOROTHY AND GRACE. Her nine sisters and brothers immigrated to Toronto Canada and she never saw them again. Hope this opens a few more doors for you. Jean Martino, living in California.
