Thank you very much Audrey for the information.  It could possibly be the first one in 1805 as the age information as given on census records wasn't necessarily accurate.  I think the later one in 1809 though looks more likely though and in particular because it was a non conformist.  I will try and pursue this lead.  Once again many thanks.

Hi, I'm new to this forum so please bear with me if I do things incorrectly!  Is there someone who could look up a baptism of William Goulding born either Chelsea or Knightsbridge (information given on 1841 and 1861 census records).  This would have meant a birth 1811/1812.  I had no success on the IGI and living in France makes research very difficult.  William became a methodist schoolteacher so I suppose it is possible that his family were non conformists although he went on to marry at St Dunstan's Stepney in 1836.  Any help would be really appreciated. :)
