Bedfordshire / Re: Finding Sylvia in Luton, Bedforshire

Dear John, of course I should have realized that her address was the hospital's on the death certificate!  No matter, however, because I received an e.mail this morning from the resource you recommended, informing me that she was buried in Crawley Green Cemetery.  I am delighted that a very long search is over, and I now know where she is and can visit her next time I am in England.  Thank you again for your interest and assistance.  Anne

Thank you so much for responding.  My mother's address on the Death Certificate was 15A Lewsey Road.  She had a heart attack and was evidently taken to the hospital, where she died.  I will contact the reference you suggested.  Anne

I am trying to find out where my mother, Sylvia Lesley Beecroft, is buried.  She died at Luton Dunstable Hospital on December 23, 1955.  I never knew her and do not have a photograph of her.  Thanks Anne

Bedfordshire / Finding Sylvia in Luton, Bedforshire

My mother, Sylvia Lesley Beecroft (nee Seymour) died at Luton and Barnstable Hospital on December 23rd, 1955 age 38 years.  I never knew her (my parents separated before I was born) and I have only just obtained  her death certificate.  I live in the U.S.A., but I want to know what happened to her after death - was she buried in Luton, etc.?  She had remarried, so I had a hard time finding her, and her new husband Eric Anstee Beecroft is also deceased.  Can anyone help me to know where to start my search? - i.e. names of cemeteries, etc.  I would like to visit her grave if I can find it.  Thank you so much.  Anne
